Let me begin by welcoming you to SPIRIT; Saints Participating In Relevant, Inspirational Teaching.
S.P.I.R.I.T. Institute is the name of the Second Baptist Church Christian Education Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to equip and disciple believers and others thru study and lifestyle. We believe that SPIRIT is an excellent opportunity for you to participate in Bible study in a more individualized way. Like a college student you can develop your own area of study based on interest, needs, spiritual gifting or spiritual growth.

There will not only be classes offered at all levels of biblical experience but also opportunities for personal development in practical areas such as home ownership, retirement, budgeting and other important life skills.

SPIRIT classes are held at various times and days in hope of meeting the challenging schedules of our busy lifestyles. One aspect of SPIRIT operates in three six week sessions. The length of these classes are intentionally short so that you can receive maximum benefit. The other components of SPIRIT that we encourage you to be a part of are:

• Bible Discovery Hour All Ages (Sunday mornings)
• Wednesday Bible Study Teens and Adults (noon and evening)
• Tuesday Evening Young Adults
• Saturday Mornings Men and Women ministry (monthly)
• Vacation Bible School
• Educational Conferences
• Workshops
• Retreats and Seminars
• Youth and Children Ministry
